I've been on a 3 day water fast so far and it's going pretty well.
Hunger pangs are less intense. Skin is softer, more lubricated than usual. Still a few hives here and there. I feel weaker today than in the previous days, especially around my legs and I'm a little dizzy, lightheaded, almost feels like I'm drunk. Feeling a little euphoric. Bloating gone and abdominal cramps completely gone as well. My left ear is still blocked and I am still producing some mucus. Headache on the 1st day is no more. Barely drank and going to the bathroom 3-4x daily. Tongue is white-coated, cheeks somewhat pinkish. Some brain fog but not much. Breathing is, at times, different, I can almost feel my heart beat in my throat, a strange feeling. But cool too.
I plan to break my fast when most, if not all, symptoms disappear or at least diminish substantially and/or when hunger returns, TRUE hunger.
Wish me luck!!!

| K- I thought you were feeling better since switching hormone dosages. Why the water fast? |

Seems not to be connected to hormones after all. In any case, fasting does a body good, unlike MILK! _________________ "When you give up your dream, you die" |

That's too bad. Good luck with the fast. I hope it brings you some relief. |

Thanks Carnation.
This morning, my appetite is COMPLETELY gone. Just thinking about food actually makes me a little nauseous. Now, when hunger comes back, I'll finally get a sense of what TRUE hunger is. _________________ "When you give up your dream, you die" |

5th day of fasting. Hunger is still there, highs and lows. I am down to 140lbs, losing a pound per day, as expected. Tongue still white coated and have my moments of physical weakness. Sometimes feel dizzy. My body was aching a little yesterday, especially around lower back and my legs and feet. I am resting alot more.
Stopped my hormones AGAIN!, cause this time, I'm almost sure they are causing me problems. I always get the same symptoms: bloating, gas, stomach aches and hives on my cheekbones mostly. I was right after all.
I might as well stop everything since I'm fasting, right? Once I break my fast, I might try the hormones one last time just to see; maybe my body will be in a better shape and tolerate them, who knows?
Last time I took hormones: yesterday afternoon, around 1pm
Last time I ate: Monday April 28, around 7pm _________________ "When you give up your dream, you die" |

So what are you waiting on to happen, again? Just when you can't fast anymore and have to eat? I hope you don't break down too much muscle, Kristi. Muscle is hard work to build, especially on a ketogenic diet (as I well know) and ESPECIALLY for a woman. _________________ I'm a vegetable-eater by proxy. I was hoping for all my problems to improve or disappear but whatever...after 5 days, I broke my fast. I was missing food way too much.
Since yesterday, I've clearly experienced some flu-like symptoms and how interesting that it happens after I drop hormones. and I'm feeling very good tonight, happy, energetic. Not so this morning or yesterday during the day. I suddenly broke out in tears yesterday night, no reason. That was definetly hormonal.
I ate some horsemeat today with garlic and gray sea salt. Very good!!!
