Has anyone had an improvement with these conditions after going zero-carb?

Sorry I didn't notice this thread! I have two little areas (one on each leg) with one or two spider veins. They don't seem to be any different, but maybe I haven't been zero-carb long enough. Spider veins run in my family, BIG TIME. My mum had hers 'injected' a few years ago and they're totally gone, so if mine don't improve (or if I get more), I might splurge on that procedure, one day. Luckily, I don't have any varicose veins! _________________ I'm a vegetable-eater by proxy. I make sure to get 5-10 servings of herbivore per day. |

| Tart cherry extract supplements will help with vein health. I have varicose veins and have also had gout a couple of times. I take 6 a day and have had improvements in my veins and no reoccurrences of gout for the last 2 years. |

A friend of mine has horribly crippling gout and he has to drink tart cherry juice every day to keep it at bay. It totally works, though. I should tell him about the extract - it's certainly easier than drinking a load of cherry juice every day (and better for him, but I'll leave that part out ). _________________ I'm a vegetable-eater by proxy. | cool, I've never heard of the cherry juice remedy. I don't have varicose veins either... but I have some spider veins in my feet and ankles. I remember getting them a couple years after taking up cigarettes. Now that I quit I'd like to repair the damage. My girlfriend has them pretty bad to so I'm trying to figure out something for both of us. I'll look into the cherry extract! |

injected with what? The saline injections? I've got a spot on my thigh which has gotten bluer since pregnancy, and a spot on my ankle which actually looks like a big bruise post preg. as well as some spiderveins around my ankles. The spider veins don't bother me, I just don't want things to turn into the really huge ropey painful things I've seen on some people while working in massage. I can only assume the next preg. will make everything worse. My legs are my best attribute, what can I say? I'll get them done. _________________ "Man lives on one quarter of what he eats. I actually have no idea what they injected them with. Possibly saline. _________________ I'm a vegetable-eater by proxy. I make sure to get 5-10 servings of herbivore per day. |

i believe it is saline... my mom got it done.
I think the other treatment is done with laser.
I've read about using apple cider vinegar directly on the skin.. I'm thinking about trying that out... before going to bed that is... I ain't gonna walk around stinkin' like vinegar! |
