If I had to eat spinach and oatmeal for breakfast, I'd be playing in my food, too.  Maple syrup, cream, and butter, the perfect mates for oatmeal.

Gross. Creative and hilarious, but gross. Spinach, oatmeal and banana? *shudder*

You should make little people too! Maybe with grapes and celery sticks.

Ooooh! What about nut butter/meal mixed? You could make little animals too! And animal poop, for realism!

Yay for japanese tattoos! I love japanese stuff/culture/things! I'm learning japanese this fall and I'm really excited about it!

Hey avalon, have you tried making pumpkin oatmeal? I used to do this all the time last year, buy some canned unsweetened pumpkin (or the real thing if you have it) and mix it in with the oatmeal, then add some cinnamon and vanilla and/or pumpkin pie spices and it tastes great, like pumpkin pie! Sometimes I would also add some vanilla protein powder (one that tasted good) to give it some extra protein too.

Oatmeal is great, its like a clean palate to work with. I have some banana flavored protein powder currently that I like to throw in there along with cinnamon, vanilla, and a real banana.  Grin

I love oatmeal loaded with cream and a little salt, only it doesn't love me.   It's also good with raw yolk and a little sugar and salt mixed in.

I wish I could have eel again. I'm pretty sure it has soy sauce in the glaze, though.

Unagi sauce isn't hard to make (with a wheat-free soy sauce).  It's just a big ass reduction.  I even made it with trout carcasses once.

Yeah, but I don't do eel at home. Too big a pain in the ass.

Yeah im supposed to avoid soy for thyroid issues, but I let myself have a little once a week when I go out for japanese or chinese. But I strictly limit it otherwise. I have read that fermented soy (in the sauce) got rid of a lot of the bad things in it as opposed to soy beans.

I might have to do sush for dinner! I'm also craving it (and pizza, as usual - although pizza has more baddies in it for me even though OMG OUR LOCAL PIZZA CHAIN HAS STARTED CARRYING GLUTEN FREE CRUST AND IT'S EFFING FANTASTIC).
