Studies show that butter consumption has been linked to psychic abilities.  Yup

All I have to say is that you definitely have a problem goloo. You need to seek help for your constant need to party. WTF is with all these parties? You're making me feel inferior.

Congrats

Laugh

that was funny... it brightened up my lunch period as I am about to go donate blood and I am not too fond of needles...

as for my need to party... tomorrow specifically is not really partying... just a lunch in Berkeley and dinner with the folks before catching Ironman with my brother and a friend...

A good party is good for the soul -

that's how I feel about it anyway.  I always feel great the next day (even with a hangover - not saying you should drink at a party).  Sometimes one really needs a good party.  Ya know, have fun like.

Oh I'm all for having fun. But come on. Every week, sometimes two and three in a weekend? Sometimes you just need to sit read a book or something! Or is that just me?

very true... about 3 weekends out of a month are simply dinners out, dvd movies, farmer's markets, and hikes...

tequila shots and beers about 2 evenings a month

I, for one, prefer having some great highs, even if it means being balanced with lows.  It's better than a flatline of a life.  And everyone achieves their highs in their own way.  Lots of perfectly happy and healthy people do it with alcohol, and that doesn't make them freaking Gerard Depardieu!

i didn't look at your link as i am at work... but I am puzzled as to why terms such as 'hitting highs' and 'falling' are even being used....

I wouldn't associate having lunch with 2 dear friends at a nice seafood restaurant as 'falling', neither would be hanging out with my brother watching Ironman or having dinner with my folks who I love to death...

I don't think I am an idiot, but if I am not seeing something, can someone fill me in... I am truly puzzled here... plus I gave a pint of blood so I am a little winded... but pretty happy because i didn't need all the post donation cookies and juice like everybody else

I know it's your life but I think you have a big problem and you will never find peace of mind by "stuffing" your self and then eating fat or just this or just that to go and post all sorts in again. It's your problem and your body (and mind).

hey thanks for your input...

I would agree with you with the following exceptions:

1.  This is just a little self experiment based on some good testimonials I have read online - not a lifestyle

2.  I have already lost 50 lbs over the last few years, so I know that I am not having mental peace issues

3.  I just want to lose a little extra water weight before a party, that's all

EXACTLY! u dont look obese @ all. course, who am i to question perfectionism??  Embarassed

*lol*

that put a smile on my face

I would like to lose another 30 lbs... I thought a day or two or three of just healthy fats would be good... no reason to get all nasty or be a jerk about it...

I would think for a site where the majority of us live on just meat and fat some of us would be a little considerate of people trying out a few different things, after all our Meat and Egg approach is off the deep end for most nutrition forums out there...

if it makes anyone happier, I had about 3/4 lb of pot roast for dinner, so my fast fast was just a day and a half

why didnt you go for it?
