hi
I got this wedding to go to on Friday, so from tomorrow through Thursday I will do a 1000 calories or so fat fast of just raw butter
I will let you know if I pull it off and how much the scale drops...
if it works, I will do the same thing the first 3 days before Txgiving next week

I find when I eat only fat, I get this hunger that won't go away, no matter how much fat I have. Until I have some protein, I mean. The fat fast never worked for me. _________________ I'm a vegetable-eater by proxy. I make sure to get 5-10 servings of herbivore per day. |

| I know it's your life but I think you have a big problem and you will never find peace of mind by "stuffing" your self and then eating fat or just this or just that to go and post all sorts in again. It's your problem and your body (and mind). |

Why would you want to do something like this??
You obviously have muscle on you, and you are going to lose some of it going 3 days without any protein. If you want to lose as fast as possible and aren't concerned with muscle loss, why not just do a total water fast?
If you are concerned with muscle, you would be MUCH better served with a protein sparing modified fast, getting in 800-1000 calories with protein instead and minimal fat. Fat loss would be the same as well. |

My worry is that water and butter don't mix. Maybe some dish detergent? what?
Oh, sperately might work, DOHHH!!!
I kid, but honestly, wish you luck. There's always that Beauty Queen standby- Cottage cheese- Google it for the next Wedding. |

hey thanks for your input...
I would agree with you with the following exceptions:
1. This is just a little self experiment based on some good testimonials I have read online - not a lifestyle
2. I have already lost 50 lbs over the last few years, so I know that I am not having mental peace issues
3. I just want to lose a little extra water weight before a party, that's all |

hey Pete
thanks for your comment, everything I have read indicates that fat is very protein sparing in a ketogenic environment, and even in a total fast muscle mass is preserved IF exercised (obviously no gain)
like I said, this is just a little experiment, that's all... it's not like I am taking up smoking or anything |

I'm sorry for what-ever. No, I didn't. I honestly joined because I wanted to know more about raw eating. Raw meat eating. I used to belong to WaiTalk, but they were deleting and changing things written to suit their needs. Some of my posts are still there but I tell true, I can't say which has been changed or not.,
Only recently did I sincerely consider going more vehehehegggg- cough, gurgle, slurp...
But, I admit as of late I have no clue what I'm doing and though I generally banter about, I guess because I have nothing worthy to contribute- I go for humor. Thank you for mentioning it, though...
Now I feel like I must apologize... I can be silly froth at times. You know, not too deep.
Sorry 'ram for yada yada ... |

Realizing that you know zilch means you are half way on your way to wisdom. 99% of people know zilch and think the world about themselves and their knowledge. (We need a little pontificating here to make the forum respectable again with all your silliness.) |

*lol*
that put a smile on my face
I would like to lose another 30 lbs... I thought a day or two or three of just healthy fats would be good... no reason to get all nasty or be a jerk about it...
I would think for a site where the majority of us live on just meat and fat some of us would be a little considerate of people trying out a few different things, after all our Meat and Egg approach is off the deep end for most nutrition forums out there...
if it makes anyone happier, I had about 3/4 lb of pot roast for dinner, so my fast fast was just a day and a half |

Carne Vorare; one does not have to look "obese" to binge and then regret! The body does not show what goes on inside and money can sell and cover up a lot.
This is a general picture and includes me too.

perhaps I misunderstood you... my big weakness is my love handles... so I am trying hard to cut down... I don't really look all that big otherwise as I have broad shoulders
I am going to a wedding tomorrow, so I want to make sure I look my best
my food for today will just be a pound of raw organic grassfed beef and a tablespoon of raw butter |

I have no problem with a butter challenge - I was just finding it hard to believe you could actually do it. There's nothing unhealthy about all-fat for a couple of days, IMO. Remember, I'm the one who ate nothing but eggs for a month. Never felt better, actually. _________________ I'm a vegetable-eater by proxy. I make sure to get 5-10 servings of herbivore per day. |

exactly... I really liked how I felt
honestly, I would have stuck with it with the following exception... I went to my girlfriend's house and her roommate makes me self-conscious about my WOE (I know I know lame exuse)... so instead of pounding 3 tbs of raw butter I just had some plain pot roast with Pepper Plant Sauce... a pretty delicious zero carb meal I bought at WFoods...
I am not really sure if 1000 calories of butter or so would be any better than a pound of fatty raw beef
any thoughts team? |

All I have to say is that you definitely have a problem goloo. You need to seek help for your constant need to party. WTF is with all these parties? You're making me feel inferior.
