The charcoal dietArt has a cool blog but I just cringe when I see the pictures of his meals.
Even if you ignore the toxic substances created by this way of cooking, you still have to figure out how he can enjoy eating a dry piece of coal for dinner!?

I'm not familiar with his diet specifics, but that first pic reminds me of a very sensible approach, not so far as cooking, but the meat to veg ratio. Very Hunza. Even McDougall says that the problem lies in that we are consuming too much protein.
Not long ago in Dr. Eades Blog he had a pic of a meal you see here. I'm not talking grams but visually. If you had done a pie chart I'd say the meat looked like 1/3 to the amount of veggies.
Which seems like a healthier approach to diet in my opinion And perhaps you could go to 1/4 the amount of meat AND WHY STOP THERE!!!
