I love this, thank you! I think the sandbag training will also be AWESOME for both of us becuase our toddler who likes to be carried a lot is very hard on our backs. This kind of thing will really help with the damage a kid can do

Indeed it will. I can vouch for the "functionality" of that kind of training. I had been doing a cycle of sandbag work and it actually paid off one when someone I know who is quite ill needed to go to the hospital.
We had called an ambulance and were making our way out to meet them when she got dizzy and started to fall down the steps. I reached down, grabbed her and picked her up and carried her down the steps, down the walk and to the ambulance as it was approaching with relative ease. She weighed about 110-115 lbs, but it was that akward kind of weight...The same kind a sandbag can simulate.

There's a gym in my area that trains with odd things like sandbags, beer kegs, etc.

I don't think any of the gyms around here would even know what a sandbag is.
