Post-runDoes anybody take supplements after a run? I'm a bit of a newbie...
I find I don't get hungry afterwards but I figure I should eat...:\...?
My running times and stamina is so rubbish now i'm having to eat carbs again, bleh!!!!!!!

The only supplement I take after running is about a pound of raw beef.

I would take in some powered glutamine about 15 grams.. and if you can handle it some whey protein powder..isolate. mixed in water with no fat.
the 1 hour to 3 hours later (depending of gastric emptying) a regular meal.

post workout you want fast gastric emptyting..you want a fast influx of aminos and other ergogenic aids and as we all know fat slows down digestion.
The usual recommendation is protien ,water and carbs. since we are not into carbs, I like to use Glutamine for glycogen synthesis.
I think anyone over 15% body fat should not use carbs for post workout, they should use Glutamine.. better yet,Glutamine Peptides if available.
