Optimal Very Low Carb Bodybuilding DietI'd like to hear some toughts on this.
As in, grams of protein per bodyweight and whatever other factors those of you feel are important.
I know the anabolic diet says for the weekdays says 30-35% protein and 55-60% fat and then no more than 30 grams of carbs per day...
Since the A.D. is designed to implement weekend carb binges
do you think this is good for long term or should more fat be added?

I think a little more fat is needed to help spare protein..
The thinkg I disagree most with the AD is the choice of food he suggests.
Spam,Salami..pseudo meat type stuff..

oh , no doubt... the food choices on the AD are laughable.
On tnation's site there are a few versions of the AD made "healthy" by adding mostly polyunsats while lowering saturated fats and allowing up to 70-100 grams of carbs depending on workout days....
that's like comparing dog shit with cat shit if you ask me.
Do you remember what Anthony Colpo's present diet looks like? I couldn't find the link I believe you posted a while back.

tekno,
He eats twice a day and has about 450 grams of meat with some sort of veggie and maybe some roasted strawberries..he says he like the orange and yellow variety of veggies.
I'm thinking carrots,corn and squash.

Tekno..I found it, I asked him how he stays out of ketosis on a meat and veggies diet..here is his response.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I make sure I eat at least 60g carbs per day, enough to avoid the ketogenic intakes associated with increased nitrogen loss.
I do this mainly by including starchier veggies such as carrots, pumpkin, peas, onion, jerusalem artichokes, etc. If I am eating a very low-carb veggie like broccoli, and don't have any of the aforementioned to bump up the carb count, then I will throw in a little dried fruit at the end of the meal.
Nuts will also help bump up the carb count. I also like pomegranates... when I can get them at a reasonable price.

What's the fear of entering ketosis for a lot of people? I feel fresking AWESOME when I'm in ketosis. I find it really hard to get into it unless I'm at >5g a day. That's probably because I've been at >30g for over a year though. ?

That's what I've been wondering. Ive been keto-genic for 12 solid months now, and I feel great! Workouts have never been better. I'm doing 25 minutes of HIIT 5-6 times per week, and lifting free weights twice per week. And I'm 10 days from my 47th birthday!

Thanks. It does take time to adapt, but once the body does, you can perform just as well, if not better than, on a higher carb diet.
