Today, I ate my first raw egg. Was really good, except the white part, which was gross.

Then I remembered I'm not supposed to eat the white part. All is well.

I tried a raw egg with the white once, it was disgusting and made me gag. That was months ago. I think I am ready to try a raw egg yolk now. I think trying one yolk would also be easier to swallow because it is smaller in volume. Laugh

I once went to a 'shot' party (i.e. lots of shooters of alcohol) and the host was making some really 'out there' shots. He made one with vodka and put a raw egg yolk in the shot glass. Of course, the arrow landed on me and I had to skull it. Wasn't too bad, I actually liked it.

I always eat my yolks runny anyway.

I love raw yolks, they're so easy to eat if you don't want to make them into a smoothie buy putting a teaspoon of cream into a shotglass with the yolk and downing it, add nutmeg too if you want. Raw white makes me gag, my stomach rebels even at the THOUGHT of raw white (or cooked for that matter).

So would you say that in a soft boiled egg, the yolk is raw? That would be cool. I haven't eaten an egg raw yet, but then maybe, I have!!!

I'd say a soft boiled egg is like a rare steak, not raw - but with many of the qualities retained.
