How do you start this?I don't think this diet is the optimal human diet, mostly due to Dr. Price's work. But I'm curious how you go about starting the diet. Do you cut down to 20 carbs a day, then knock off a few carbs/day every week? Cold turkey? Do you just get up one morning and never eat another vegetable?

Its best to go cold turkey, cutting out carbs forever.

I just aim for zero carbs so that I end up with 4 to 10 grams if I'm lucky. Those carbs sneak in there. They hide in my eggs and in liver and in my lovely head cheese. You could start with cold turkey if you want to but I prefer beef.

I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all approach to this, more like go along what works for you. For example, on my recent return to low-carbing in general I chose to slowly ease off the carbs, cut out the stuff I react badly to, find out what works for me, what affects my body chemistry, what works socially... many people here came via some kind of low-carbing / Atkins thing and found they function better on very low carb diets, I suppose some went cold turkey, some didn't. Some of them, myself incuded, are struggling with a myriad of health problems which led them the way ...
