Fat and protein"Fat has an inhibiting influence on digestive secretion and lessen
the amount and activity of pepsin and hydrochloric acid, necessary
for the digestion of protein. The fat may lower the entire digestive
tone more than 50 percent"

I've seen this statement many times on different raw food/vegetarian/food combining boards. Do you have any research to back it up?
BTW cream was used to cure stomach ulcers (Sippy diet)

It got posted on one of the yahoo groups and as with all "new's", it is up to you; some people can digest what others can not!

Our bodies are so well equppied to digest fat and protein at simultaneously
We have ample amounts of lipase,HCL and elastase which helps digest fibrous meats..just more bunk out there.
I think breaking down fibrous veggies would be a huge tax on our enzyme pool ..more so than protien and fat combined

I think that for most people the opposite is true: digestion problems from eating too much lean protein without any fat.
