Do you question what you eat; how is this going to affect meSome how I find it very easy to eat my hard cheese on a daily base; I can eat my egg and meat... but if I don't have my cheese; I could not replace it with more egg or meat. I love my cheese because of the salt and I have been eating only Gruyère and Emmentaler (I have tryed so many and found that they don't give me the "addiction" to eat!
Well after all the talk on salt and dairy one can get very upset. Do some of you get upset too? We all like to hope that what we are doing, is not going to make health problems. We act as are mind (emotions) tells us...

I don't worry about eating a few things that may be less than ideal for the body. We are never going to be perfect. But if we can eliminate most of the bad things, we will be much better off. Enjoy your cheese if it doesn't seem to cause problems. I do.

It's true. Those of us who eliminate dairy do so because we've had bad reactions to it. If you don't react, then consider yourself very lucky and enjoy your cheese!

Thank you for your opinion which I generaly are always interesting! If we could understand reactions (not just spots or weight) then life would not be life. Cancer takes a long time to show it's self... The world talks about weight, but that is just a symptom!

I know there are people who have managed to eat their food additive free and shout how wonderful it tastes in it's natural state. I know I like some salt in my food. Sometimes Soy! Oh soy on the yolk on the Buffalo Tartar! And I wonder if it is the salt that I like most of all. I haven't been able to find raw unsalted cheese, but I would like to try it just on principle.

The only unsalted cheese I've ever tried tasted like absolute shite.

That comes from having spent 47 years on this planet. I tend to
take a very balanced approach to things. Few things in in this world are all good or all bad. That goes for our food. You just have to weigh the pros and cons of whatever you are thinking of putting into your mouth. Something that gives a lot of pleasure, while causing minimal damge can be a good thing. Something that gives a lot of pleasure but does a lot of damage, not so good.

salt is made of sodium and chloride which both have many funktions in our body (acid-balance in the blood, stomach acid (digestion of protein), nerves...) I have been told that the normal tablesalt is best; I spent a lot of money on "healthy salts" and lernt, that it's making money on health hunting people. There is more damage done leaving out salt!!! Baby's which are given salt develop better; salt has a very good help for us all.
My mum has my book "diat + digestion = health", undertitel "the carb and acid low diat" which is a good résumé of many aspects (clinik in "Bad Ragaz", Swiss alps). One should not need to take any supplements for the body can help itself with the best input. Smoking also has an effect on the digestion of protein (protein does not get well digestided!)
just a little emotional input

In a perfect world this may be true. It may be true regardless, but only, the food we eat today have lost much of their nutrients- compared to years ago. There's a list somewhere that's pretty frightening! Then and now vitamin content. I'm not a big fan of supplements, but there may be reason to take them.
