I still say put a lid on population growth and we can all happily eat meat.

I can see how that might work actually. One way to do that would be to force a Vegan diet on some of the population- as they have said many find it difficult to concieve without eggs or meat in the diet...

wonder how come this is hardly mentioned in restoring ecological manageability?? its a well known fact that some of the higher carnivores practice forms of population control.

super-surprising that mankind w/his supposedly superior intelligence fails to see the light.

:sigh: i've realized that being merciful to ur fellow humans is a better way of doing things. no matter how high up the food chain or physically resilient u r.

what i meant is that we should teach natural population control methods to ppl so that they are less burdened financially and or foodwise. it is foolish to think that the earth can support so many potential 'carnivores' without going broke.

then again, im guessing thats one reason many r not inclined to carnivory..cosmic balance perhaps?

also, its quite irritating when u have all these "save the world" ppl, many of whose heart is probably in the right place trying to feed the millions of starving..while i dont in any way propose that we allow them to starve

..shouldn't equal weight be given to birth control importance?

the issue is political, social & religious. and will probably take a catastrophe *of what dimensions, i dont know* to make ppl see the light.

why should we control the human population? Turn all the crop farmland into animal raising land and there will be more than enough meat to go around. Now all we need to do is create a medical consensus that meat is healthy and carbs kill more than cigarettes.

The earth can support an infinite amount of people, just grow food for the animals hydroponically, and feed the animals to he humans, simple.

It's just that the world we live in has no common sense humans eating animal feed, of course they can't think well.
