24 hour salad...great for a potluck24 hour salad
Mix together in a medium round bowl:
8 c. torn iceberg and romaine mix
1 c. chopped celery
Top with the following in this order:
2 cups chopped or shredded chicken
6 hard boiled eggs, sliced
1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1/2 cup chopped black olives (optional)
8 oz. grated swiss cheese
Spread 1 cup mayonaise over the top to seal the salad. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. This can be made the night before (hence the 24 hours). Toss before serving.
