great, thank you
RawNut

Thanks. I didn't see anywhere to buy the movie. Is it out yet?
paleogirl

Awesome!  About time!!

It's not out yet. I think it's getting theatrical release - I'm not sure yet how wide, though.
RawNut

Theatrical release? Awesome!!!
Carnation

Some credit Morgan Spurlock with ushering in the low-fat salad era at the fast food joints.  Maybe this movie will be able to bring back tallow in the deep fat fryer!

Hey guys. Glad you liked the videos.

Last  I heard he was trying to get it into theatrical release, but hadn't had anyone pick it up yet. Don't know if that's changed.

As far as Morgan Spurlock goes... this man has made a career for himself based on a movie full of lies and misinformation. It's rather disheartening... ESPECIALLY since you're right... that movie made a lot of fast food places alter their menu for the "better". Go read the ingredients and nutrition facts on any fast food website... it's scary. Wow Everything is still fried with trans-fats because people are soooo afraid of real NATURAL FAT!!!!!

I really enjoyed his movie and at the time was still actively eating McDs and Bks. How was his movie a lie? If you look at FatHeads diet, he worked at keeping his calories stabilized. Sans bun here, half bun there. How many people do that in real life? I've never left a bun off a Big Mac. What's the point? I know, there's a point if you want to lose weight eating SAD. Even I of late, when not binging and drinking, who me Shock has lost weight eating potatoes. A calorie may not always be a calorie, but sometimes... hey, I think I saw a snake stuck in a Squirrel's butt this morning! It was pretty cold here. Honest  Yup  No, really! Where was my camera when I needed it.

Best wishes,
Avalon  Happy

There is an obesity epidemic. Just look around you. We have reality shows about it now  Bonkers  They used to fire actors for being over weight.

and stuff...

Good morning from I can't sleepville.

So I just watched the last two youtube links. I'd like to believe the cholesterol myth is true. But will we ever know what's true with such opposing information and our relatively short lives zooming towards Heaven?

What annoys me about the Fathead movie is something else altogether... his blatant vocal imitation of Michael Moore. I do think his idea of doing a yang to Spurlock's  ying is a fun idea, whether true or not. But will I want to sit through 1.5-2 hours of him talking like Moore? And I like Michael, truly. So he copies Moore's voice and copies Spurlock's movie poster and I guess from a financial perspective, it's good business.

Lastly, last night on Discovery Health there was a program following several people losing weight. One was a young girl in New York who by early afternoon, before dinner, had already eaten roughly 3000 calories and mostly from high fat fast food. Processed food. I do think there is a difference between a fast food burger, salty fries and say the ideas behind The Optimal Diet by Dr. J. Kwasniewski

Okay, back to bed Snooze

Laugh Yeah, that's an understatement!
Carnation

OMG, Michael Moore!  That's it!  I knew there was something funny about his voice, but couldn't put my finger on it.
adwred

I agree that he's parroting both Moore and Spurlock in a pretty brainless way. Even the little animations. Come on. The filmmaking is questionable, but the content is interesting.
Carnation

I didn't get to watch very much because of my lousy computer, but maybe it's not so much parroting as parody?
adwred

Oh I'm sure it's a spurlock parody. But bring something new to the table, you know? Show that it's parody by giving us something else - by making it intelligent. I admit, I haven't seen the whole thing, so I may be jumping the gun. I'll definitely go see it!
Avalon

Hey, and you know, I totally lost interest after seeing his calorie counting! After that I couldn't care less.  To me that debunks his whole platform. Bring on the food and weight loss is what I want to see!!! HOORAAHH!!!  Roll Eyes

What would happen if you had 3 Big Macs, fries, a desert and a glass of Epsom salt?  Shock

ReddyMcMeaty,

Are you on an egg only diet or have you just started including them in your diet?
