|
|
I've been out of control! Anyone want to join me in a control freakish diet where we eat only 5 Bites of Food twice a day? Starting with a day or so of Snickers bars? Starting Sunday morning!
It's insane! It's crazy! And I am playing right into it!
I don't know if the first link will open for you.

I need a slap in the face and this is it! I'll be writing about it and recording it for Youtube.
Any crazy snake-oil takers in the audience?

10 bites of food for the day? Sounds like starvation to me. No thanks. I might be able to help you out with that slap in the face, though. |

It's funny, would you have said 'starvation' if I mentioned doing a water fast? It does seem that saying ten bites a day sounds worse than 'water fasting'. 15 bites a day then?

Try "5 pounds of meat a day" diet instead. You will thank me later. _________________ Sex and violence

Or even better 5 spoons of butter a day. You will be skinny in no time. _________________ Sex and violence

Just an Update:
I started at 167lbs. Today is Day 3. This morning I weighed 159.6lbs. 7.2lbs in 2 days. Eating 4 Snickers Bars!
Today's lunch was 6 pieces of California Roll. Dinner will be same, or, one egg with a slice of cheese. If I can borrow a slice from a neighbor. That will leave me 6 more pieces of ca roll for lunch tomorrow
4 Days to go. |

Have you ever been Bulimic? Or a Binge eater? My hope was that this would break a cycle of Binge eating. And it has. I'm not victory dancing, though I am very happy that I stopped stuffing my face for now. I'm looking forward to eating some of my favorite foods, but in small quantities.
When I eat a Pizza, I eat the whole Pizza. I'll eat 2 foot long Subway sandwiches in one sitting and soon after that eat a container of pringles and a Whopper with Cheese.
Sometimes it takes a very simple idea to snap you out of an old habit. Gastric Bypass diet without the surgery! And I love that Dr. Lewis says you can lose more than 2lbs a week safely. And I don't care if that is wrong or right, I like hearing it. I like that he admits his diet- the way he eats, is not the best. He admits to eating McDonalds! I love that he says, get the weight off now!
I have an eating disorder. This silly diet may actually help me. It may not. But I'll tell you that that California Roll and Egg Omelet never tasted so good!
How does one break a pattern by themselves without much encouragement from anyone? I do have a friend who has lost 5 in two days and did not do the Snickers. Instead she's eating small 5-6 bites of food she likes.
Like her, I'm feeling in control at the moment and that's worth the price of admission.
Best wishes,
Avalon |

I decided to check this out in case it was 5 bites, 5 times per day ;)
You're right though Ava, if you have or have had an eating disorder it's an entirely different game. Not that I think 10 bites a day is necessarily the answer... but who really knows. _________________ "Man lives on one quarter of what he eats. On the other three quarters lives his doctor." |

Hi Red,
I've learned enough to know answers come and go in many shapes and forms like the wind and the rain and the tide and stuff. Huh? Wha? Anyway, I think you know what I mean.
I guess the trick is to never give up and settle. If you settle, you own it
Best to you,
Ava |

At least counting bites all day long keeps you busy.
What if you eat 6 bites by accident? Do you let it go or eat 4 during the next meal? _________________ Sex and violence

That's funny Woof
It's not that strict. And I'm thankfully not morbidly obese, so I have some room to roam. He even says that in the video

When I was eating carbs, I could binge eat with the best of 'em. A whole pizza? Yep. A quart of ice cream? No problem. A dozen cookies? Why not!
For me, eliminating carbs has cured that. Notice anything those foods have in common? |

There's a slight but important difference between being able to easily eat a whole container of ice cream and eating that whole container of ice cream within the context of binge eating disorder. When you're a compulsive overeater or have a BED, you don't just eat a lot... there's a whole ritual about it, including a high while you're planning out your binges, eating to the point of numbness and then sickness and a pretty serious shame spiral thing that happens during and afterwards.
It's true that ZC can cure that for some people and it's fantastic. I know Loops had her bulimia cured by ZC. But unfortunately, it's not a guarantee and carbs are definitely not the 'cause' of BED. There are plenty of carb eaters who do not have eating disorders. _________________ I'm a vegetable-eater by proxy. I make sure to get 5-10 servings of herbivore per day. |
