I can't do this diet because plain fat tastes bad. Can you people who are doing this diet tell me how you make fat taste good? Thanks.

I fat tastes bad you are doing something wrong or you are still in transition period.
If you are fat adapted everything but fat tastes bad.
In a meantime use any spices you want to make fat taste good. _________________ Sex and violence

Fat tastes better to me than anything else. Always. It always seems like anything else is just a medium for the deliciousness of fat.
What kind of fat do you eat and how do you eat it? _________________ "Man lives on one quarter of what he eats. On the other three quarters lives his doctor." |

I used to think fat was gross in the beginning. I noticed that I liked it better if i cooked it thoroughly, which gave it a firmer texture. As I started to become accustomed to it, I cooked the fat less and now just cook it enough to taste. _________________ "Perfect enlightenment means spontaneous realization of your original nature." - The Fifth Zen Patriarch |

| this might be purely a psychological thing... I remember thinking about this once when a friend of mine was complaining about some food he got that was extra fatty. I think it's probable that people create an aversion to the taste. |

Hey guys, been on this diet for 4 1/4 months now. I wasn't able to stand fat with spices so I just got fat from hamburgers (fully cooked of course). After 3 weeks or so I noticed a rare chuck roast tasted better to me than a steak from a restaurant. After about 6 weeks I decided to give fat another try and noticed I liked it as long as it's steak trimmings. Anything else I still don't like.
Anyways, I wanted to ask you all how long did it take each of you to ketoadapt? And did you notice a gradual increase in energy or did it just happen one day?
I'm asking this because I still don't notice an increase in energy and eating fat still makes that worse even though I'm not spilling ketones anymore. Also, I avoided the lethargy that comes with eating 80% fat 20% protein by eating more protein than fat while adapting (but you still don't get much energy). But I wonder if 80% fat 20% makes adaption faster. Or 2 months in when I ate a steak from a restaurant and it had a little bit of sauce on it that I thought would be okay and it made me spill large amounts of ketones like in the beginning. Maybe that reset the adaption process.
