Hello everyone!   The people running this place have been missing in action.  I'd like to make a few changes to reflect some of the information that we have available here, as well as to encourage more discussion and a friendly environment for anyone seeking to improve their health.

Any suggestions or concerns are welcome, just reply to this post.

Thanks

This forum is dead but I like it
It's too no carb for normal low carbers and too high carb for those obsessed with beef and water.
So don't change anything there are just like 5 active members and Nicola anyway.

It's true that we're not actively talking, outside of woof woof's journal, that is! I actually have lots to say, but it's always in the back of my mind that this is a zero-carb forum and most of what I have to say is to do with the consumption of some carbs. And I don't want to discourage those who are doing well on ZC. So I generally keep my comments to myself!

But yes, a more open forum would be great!

Say everything that's on your mind, adwred. That way we can all learn and share with our own unique experiences. I think everyone currently posting on this forum is searching for what works best for them, whether that be zero carb or not. It's nice to have a forum where a person doesn't get scolded for a different opinion from the main theme.

I should clarify. 'Open' was probably the wrong word. This forum is definitely open.  Laugh I think I meant varied. Or something. Just more.

Ok guys, I want some ideas for a name change!

The name was made in a parody of the activelowcarb forums... I made this place because someone got banned for being an asshole.  He also got banned here for being an asshole  and got ME banned there but that is besides the point.    How about a better name.

Ideas?

we need Tshirts that say I sneak butter.   It would be nice to recognize other butter sneakers in the world.

Hmmm well the thing is that some of us are unabashed potato consumers and don't actually think zero carb is the only way to be.  I'd like the name to reflect that we're really looking for what works best individually, though there are certain themes that seem to run through with regards to nutrition.

I think everyone here pretty much agrees that a diet with a high amount of animal fat is king, just our carb intakes differ. Maybe make a new banner that has a bunch of dead animals surrounded by potatoes. My suggestion is the "Active Animal Fat Forums."

Do it, Reddy. Change it. Now.  Thumbs Up

The Fat Feasting Forum?

Yeah Sammy don't worry - zero carbers are def welcome - that is what Woof does anyway - he just likes to enhance his ketone production with alcohol.

Or how about, the no/low/med carb high fat forum.  Yeah, I guess that doesn't have such a great ring to it.

Ooh I like that one (fat feasting). But I like incorporating animal foods in there as the main focus, rather than a macronutrient. Since Meg doesn't feast on fat (as much as she'd like to). And most of the people here are VLC, but not all. But we all agree (I think??) that animal foods in the diet are essential for the best health.

The problem is that we are way too smart (ok at least some of us) for normal low carb board (like Atkins or protein power or paleo nonsense) and way too lazy and undisciplined for pemmican and water only. And some of us do fine with carbs so we are not sure that we need to go beef and water for life. So that's why we are here.
So it's hard to choose one name to fit all.

Wow! What happened here?  When did the red heads start dressing so sexy?  Still trying to lure men to your commune?  Dirty girls.

They started to eat carbs again. They are kind of sex machines now.
