This may become a forum in itself....
For ground beef: put on a little mayo and some liquid oil - for sauciness, sprinkle some pepper, cayenne and other seasonings to taste.
Tomato sauce and cottage cheese.
Tomato sauce and melted sharp cheese
Chili sauce
Tomato tastes really good, looking for a tasty lower carb substitute.

You could make your own low carb tomato sauce. A tin of tomatoes (no added sugar etc), sea salt, dried oregano, a couple drops of splenda liquid (no carbs). Put all in a saucepan, boil and simmer until it reduces, cool and put through a food processor. You could strain it if you wanted it really smooth.
You can adapt this with many other herbs and flavourings such as chilli, garlic, rosemary, etc |

Yes, I keep asking dh to get me some ketchup when he goes to the US but he can never find any. _________________ "Man lives on one quarter of what he eats. On the other three quarters lives his doctor." |

I'm back from the vegan wars. After 60 years as a vegetarian and off-and-on low carb, it's been a struggle. I've made my final commitment to zero carb since I find that I don't miss anything from the plant world.
I season meat/pork with freshly ground black pepper and cayenne pepper but I still would love to add some unsweetened ketchup. I'm sensitive to Splenda but Stevita Stevia Spoonable works great for me. I made my own ketchup (it simmered for 5 hours) but it was so delicious, I overate it, so it went into the garbage disposal.
Westbrae makes an unsweetened ketchup. In moderation, is this acceptable on zero carb? It's listed as one carb per tablespoon and I use less than a tablespoon at each meal.
I've met wonderful people at the Dr. Bernstein forum but I'm not diabetic and I'm also not interested in recipes of any kind.
I have almost 100 pounds to lose, so, my question: will using small portions of sf ketchup damage my weight loss in any way? I'm prepared to eat just meat/fat and water so I won't whine if the "experts" tell me that a tomato condiment will slow my progress.

That should not hinder your weight loss at all unless you have some kind of tomato allergy, it would be fairly obvious though.
